The Newsroom

#2 | The Newsroom Seasons 1 and 2
Rating: 8.25

As a Communication graduate, with some units in journalism, I see Newsroom as a fantastic drama series. While I have almost no knowledge or background in American politics, The Newsroom still manages to retain my interest by showing what is ideal — having integrity in the news, and giving justice to things and events.

I’ve said this before, and I’m saying it again: A lot of (Filipino) people who call themselves broadcast journalists can learn a lot from this program. There’s just too much bull on our TV screens and having a hour of yellow news and nonsense advertisements in between to cap our day is just not fair.

If only they didn’t kill the season-ender by sprinkling some ridiculous love twist in the end.
